    James asks:

Hello my name is James I been wanting to up my pizza skills at home, and
thinking of installing a brick oven in my backyard, there are so many brands
to choose from, do you have any recommendations? Thank you.

    My response:

    Hey James.

Great question. There are literally hundreds of different pizza ovens to choose from. Do somme research and decide what type of oven will best meet your needs.

I do not know your situation or your backyard, but I do have some advice.
Do your homework and research as much as you can. There are now even portable backyard pizza ovens that you can purchase.

I recommend you check out Forno Bravo. They have lot of great ovens and even offer free plans to build your own.

They also have a great community as well as a Forum where you can ask questions and learn as much as possible.

If you decide to build your own oven remember this reminder from Forno bravo:

Please take a moment to read all of the instructions, and look at all of the photographs, before embarking on the Pompeii brick oven project. It is not for everyone. The project can be challenging, and requires a level of masonry skill and muscle power.  You can consider a modular pizza oven kit to save weeks and guarantee the quality of your oven or choose a fully assembled pizza oven from the widest product offering in the market.  The oven will be as good or better, but we can’t deny the satisfaction of building your own brick oven from scratch!

There are a number of ovens you can also check out here:

I cannot emphasize enough you research as much as possible. This will be a life changing event for you and your family.

Please keep us posted on what you decide. And please share some pics of the pizza!
