4. Pizza For Pets: A Strange Request, But Maybe Not

I have a crazy idea and want to share with you. Have you thought about making
pizza for PETS, (dogs & or cats)?

Would it be possible to make pizza using the right ingredients for pets to digest without any stomach problems?

If this is possible let me know so we can start making some for my 4 legged friends which I have
5 dogs and 3 cats and I board dogs in my home. It would be a real nice treat for my visiting house
guests. Let me know what you think. (It's just a thought!)Thank you for your time and I will look forward to hearing from

Hi Kris,

I must admit I have never thought of "Pizza for Pets".

The idea however sounds incredible! The possibilities are there. There are millions of pets and pet lovers. If there was a way to create a healthy pizza for pets, it would be a winner.

I must admit, I do not know what is healthy or tastes good to
pets. I have seen snacks for dogs in the shape of bacon.

Anyway, I will invite the readers of Pizza News (our free newsletter) to comment on this idea and concept.

5. The Prego Pizza Revisited

Here is a tale that appeared in Pizza News in 2002:

Paul writes:

Your story... about pizza that induces labor, (See Pizza News, June 2002) sent my daughter on a quest to get the recipe as she was ready to pop herself. She found the article on your site and called the restaurant (Skipolini's Pizza, Clayton, California) and much to her surprise was given the recipe. That night she had a local pizzeria make her pie. She awoke at 5 the next morning in labor, and later that day made me a grandpa. Pizza Therapy indeed! 

On a related note: I've been making BBQ'd Pizza on my Weber for the past year at home to rave reviews. I finally decided to take a chance and did a Pizza Booth at a couple of small local festivals. I learned a lot, covered my expenses, got credibility, and most importantly saw delighted expressions on the faces of my customers. My 5 day old grandson even made it to the debut of "Paisano Barbequed Pizza".

The 3rd Annual Best Pizza on Long Island Contest is underway.
Pizzerias from Valley Stream to Montauk are competing to be
named "Best Pizza on Long Island!" Your VOTE counts, so go

for the pizza bake-off and final judging at the Pizza Festival.
The Pizza Festival will be held on October 1, 2005 at

pizza eating contest, make your own pie, pizza sampling, rides,
games and attractions.

perform an awesome display of acrobatic pizza tossing.

Last year's Festival was featured on Food Network TV's show,
"All American Festivals" -viewed by millions!
