"The
sauce, the crust, the love! These people are from the Old Country and are dedicated to serving quality Pizza. I travel all over the country and when I come home my wife and I go for a mouth watering Pizza at Sergios. There may be a place with better Pizza, but I have not found it yet." |

It's a music venue, no it's a pizzeria...located
in the mountains of Virginia...they used to make pizza in
the back of a truck, now Dog Town has found a permanent home. "...For 2 years they traveled and sold pizzas out of the back of their truck. Farmer’s markets, wineries, festivals, weddings, parties, and on Friday nights in downtown Floyd..." According to the owners: "We do pizza, and we do it our way. Fresh, local and organic ingredients, chef inspired topping selections, and tangy dough flash cooked in a wood-fired oven." |

"...People say it is the best in Lynchburg and Roanoke VA." |

Bottoms Up Pizza (Pizza Hall of Fame: CLOSED and then Reopened) |

If
I could figure out what makes this so special, I'd do it myself at home!
They were closed for a while, but have not only re-opened, they have added
two other pizzerias in the area, all of which are doing a fantastic business
(and to my mind, a community service!) / "Sourdough Crust with distinct olive oil taste...Just the right combo of everything with a great selection..." / "...It does not look like they will re-open." |
Virginia | Richmond | Tony's Italian Restaurant |

"For true greasy, slidy, *HEAVENLY* NY pizza you must go to Tony's! When they bring it to your table you have to wait or eat carefully or the cheese will slide OFF the pizza onto your plate! Yum!..." |

"This pizza rocks! It's like real New York pizza in Virginia, only BETTER. Decor is hokie, but I insist on going every time I'm in town." |

"New York
style pizza with the right crust and sauce of any the others in the area.
Some are real close but just miss the mark by a little. I refer to there
pizza as beach pizza. Old Italian family that goes to Italy every summer.
Great prices." / Albert's Sidebar: We've heard of Beach Pizza before. You will find it mostly on the Eastern Seaboard. (Virginia, North and South Carolina Coast...) |
Virginia | Virginia Beach | Sal's Bella Pizza |

"...family operated- father is from Italy and mother from Philly. The pizza is New York style- best sauce and cheese on the East Coast..." |

Who Makes The Worlds Best Pizza? "Every pizza lover feels the
best pizza is made best in their own home town. West Coast pizza fans are very loyal to
their pizza. Mid-west pizza fans are loyal to their own pizza. Don't even get me
started about the debate between Chicago Deep Dish pizza vs. New Your Pizza. New
Haven pizza fans are fiercely loyal to "Wooster Street" style pizza. Of course
other countries feel their pizza is the best... Pizza on Earth, Albert Grande, The Pizza Promoter |
